We cultivate a close connection with our guests, allowing us to gain insight into the innermost aspects of their lives, which helps us understand who they are to enhance our prescriptions. We deeply value and respect our guests, and our utmost priority is to ensure their comfort and well-being. It brings us great joy to foster a relationship that goes beyond the conventional boundaries of therapist and customer.

Professional Bio

I entered the beauty industry at just 14—as a pimple-faced trainee, eager to learn everything I could about skin and determined to heal my own acne. That curiosity quickly turned into a passion. After graduating from one of Australia’s most prestigious beauty schools, Elly Lukas, and learning from some incredible professionals in award winning salons along the way, I eventually stepped out on my own and founded The Hive in 2016 because I wanted to create a space that was personal, boutique, and that had the time for genuine care.

With over 18 years in the industry and many of those spent as a fully booked independent therapist, I reached a point in my journey where my focus has shifted. For the last 9 years in business, I have been building a small, passionate team of experts who share my vision—to reshape what a 'beauty salon' can be.

Early on, I realised that the concept of what we consider 'beauty' begins from how we live, how we think, how we show up for ourselves day to day. Skin health is about so much more than what we put on our skin. I was drawn to a more holistic approach—one that considers gut function, sleep, stress, medication, home care, emotions, the nervous system, trauma and even our microbiome.

Everything in the body is connected, and that connection shows up on our skin.

One of the things I love most about my work now is continuously expanding on the Holistic health model—exploring new ideas, connecting with like-minded practitioners, and sharing what I discover with my clients. I believe in the power of education and in giving that power back to consumers—especially in an industry flooded with misdirection, greenwashing, social media hype, and celebrity endorsements.

While 'holistic care' can sometimes sound a bit woo-woo and is thoroughly an overused phrase nowadays ( I'm sure can elicit an eye roll from some!) for me Holistic simply means considering the whole person, and all the intricacies they come with. I am very much a skin nerd, in love with the research, as many of my long termers can attest to!

At the heart of it all, The Hive is a world I’ve created to feel safe, warm, and welcoming—for both our guests and the team. It’s a space for deep relaxation, self-reconnection, and genuine care in a busy, often overwhelming world.

Personal Bio

Outside of the salon, I love DIY, yoga, and surfing. I'm a social busy bee who enjoys putting on big dinners for my loved ones and I'm always up for a road trip to the beach in my campervan.

Professional Bio

Since developing a love and knowledge for all things skin and beauty related in my teen years, treating my girlfriends to fresh brows during lunch breaks at school and swapping skincare tips, this love has grown and expanded to what it is today and what it is continuing to become.

That is - Beauty is beyond skin deep and there is immense power in the human touch.

This is a belief I hold dear. Growing up in a world that has us believing we need to be “fixed” to be whole and accepted, I found myself being drawn in because I could see a lack.

A lack of self-love, self-acceptance, a lack of true healing and connection in the world around me and in myself. The result? Dis-ease. Not just showing up on our skin but also within.

I wanted to disrupt this, to create a safe space and facilitate healing the skin beyond just the surface while making trusting and true connections that leave you feeling seen, heard and light, well after you leave.

Furthering my education and completing my Diploma of Beauty Therapy was my first step to opening up that world. Building a solid foundation, upskilling, researching in my own time, taking further courses from industry leaders has given me and continues to give me knowledge, tools and insights into skin and our holistic health. Never just treating the symptom but addressing the cause.

The two are intertwined and your skin health and wellness with me is a doorway to achieving clinical and holistic results in and out of the salon that extend beyond your skin. I don’t believe you should have to choose between a relaxing treatment and a clinical one. In my experience, they have always worked best synergistically and why I let intuition lead the way in my work.

Personal Bio

My world outside of the salon is spent with my loved ones – family, friends, my amazing partner and our pup Charlie. Time spent getting outside of the city, exploring the country, having a swim at the beach, trying new foods or quiet days at home being creative with my writing and taking things intentionally “slow”. Enjoying all the little things life has to offer.

Professional Bio

Skin, beauty, wellness, and health have evolved significantly throughout my life, and my journey with them is ongoing. As a teenager, I struggled with acne, and my face became the canvas for countless beauty trends and experiments (thank you, YouTube!).

This challenging experience sparked a passion that grew into a lifelong pursuit of education, self- acceptance, and a deeper understanding of what beauty truly means to me.

As an adult, my skin has continued to face new challenges—whether due to coming off the pill, the effects of stress, diet, or sleep. Through it all, I’ve learned to navigate these ups and downs, and I’m now dedicated to sharing the insights I’ve gained along the way.

With over 7 years of hands-on experience in the skin and beauty industry, I have had the privilege of learning from both peers and industry experts. The beauty and skincare landscape is constantly evolving, and my commitment to deepening my knowledge continues to grow. While I don’t claim to know it all, I’ve accumulated a wealth of expertise and am always dedicated to finding the best solutions for my clients.

I believe that the health of your skin is intricately linked to your overall well-being—factors like gut health, sleep, stress, medication, the microbiome, and emotional health all play an important role. By addressing these internal factors, I take a holistic approach to skincare that nurtures and balances your skin from the inside out.

In a world full of TikTok trends and an overwhelming array of beauty products, it’s easy to feel lost. My goal is to help you cut through the noise and offer personalized, effective advice that works for your unique needs. My focus is not on achieving perfection, but on nurturing healthy, happy skin that you can feel confident in at every stage of life.

Personal Bio

When I’m not working, I enjoy exploring my creative side through food and art. You’ll often find me painting to some great music or a podcast (pop culture is usually my go to!). My art is influenced by my mood, and I love experimenting with texture and color. I’m also passionate about cooking and eating—whether at home or dining out, I’m always up for a new recommendation or recipe swap!

I’m a proud cat mom to Percy, who is always the center of my world and will likely come up in conversation often (consider yourself warned!). Yoga and Pilates are also part of my routine, and as I’m still a beginner, I’m always open to tips and advice.

I look forward to being part of your skin wellness journey and helping you feel confident, empowered, and beautiful in your skin at every age.
